Conventional social media have shown us time and again that they are not to be trusted. If they're not getting hacked, or participating in some shadowy Orwellian scheme, they're allowing hate-speech while muffling dissent.

A few podcasters with politcal views that fall on the "wrong" side of the Left-Right continuum have even seen their products de-monetized by these social platforms.

Until there's a better way, please join us on open-source social media. Federated internet sites such as Friendica, Mastadon, and Diaspora have transparent guidelines that nearly always prohibit hate speech.
